The first Intake visit is scheduled with a psychiatric social recommended worker who obtains a history and understanding of present difficulties. When, the second Intake appointment is scheduled with a psychiatrist to further evaluate treatment needs and/or to evaluate medication needs.
The Clinic's professional administrative team reviews each application for services. Applicants to our Clinic are provided with therapists most suited to the individual's needs. With children, the Clinic's policy is to involve parents in the therapeutic process. In cases where it is felt that an applicant may be better served at a different program, referrals are made. The Clinic maintains a close liaison with referral agencies. We coordinate treatment with other social, health, educational and vocational agencies on behalf of our applicants.
